Studied Architecture at Edinburgh University & Glasgow’s Strathclyde University.
Registered as an Architect in 1988. Worked on newbuild and renovation Housing Projects with private & public sector practices in Glasgow, Haringey & Hull.
Established own practice in Northern Ireland in 1992 and has received awards from RIAI and RSUA.
Has been a member of NI. Building Regulations Advisory Committee & Historic Buildings Council.
Former Council member of RSUA & convenor of the RSUA’s Sustainability Committee.
Worked on many housing projects as an Ecohomes Assessor.
Experienced in specification of ecological building materials, most recently constructing the Hemp-house which was published in Living Design & Construct Ireland.
Co-author of “Hemp Lime Construction” ( BRE Press)
Involved in research and development and retains interest in teaching & mentoring students.
